Connecting an agent allows it to create and manage projects, settings, and spending limits for you.

## Signing in

Your agent needs a Caster account to use Caster's MCP server. Creating an account is free, with no monthly fee. Sign in with the same account you use on caster.sh.

## What your agent can do

- Set up a project from a code repository or a folder on your computer.
- Detect and set up all of the infrastructure you need.
- Set up a custom domain.
- Keep your projects online, fast, and secure.
- See detailed breakdowns of per-project costs, spending limits, and billing.

Teams can set up custom roles and permissions for every Caster action. Each team member's agent can do only what that person's role allows.

When an agent is about to make a change that will cost money, we give it an estimate of what that change will cost each month.

A few actions are only available on the website, like inviting people, changing roles, and deleting your account.

## Troubleshooting

### The sign-in page says I'm not in a Caster workspace

Create an account on the website or accept an invitation from your email before you sign in.

### My agent says it can't reach Caster

Try removing Caster from your agent's connectors, adding its address again, and signing in. If it still can't connect, [email support](https://www.caster.sh/help#contact).

### My agent says it isn't allowed to do something

Your role in your account doesn't allow that action. Your agent can tell you which role is required or who to ask for permission. Someone with admin access can change your role in [People](https://www.caster.sh/people).
