# Caster (caster.sh) > Caster (caster.sh) provides hosting that just works. Caster sets up everything a project needs, keeps it running, and charges only for what each project uses. Users bring their own app, or set up a game server or Discord bot from Caster's catalog. Caster isn't open yet. ## Caster projects A project is a user's code, or a game server or Discord bot from Caster's catalog. Caster provides what the code needs, such as a database, a cache, storage, daily backups and a secure address, and connects the user's custom domain. Caster proactively keeps users' projects online. For example, it restarts an app that stops, and gives an app more memory when it runs out, within the user's spending limit. ## Money - A new account starts with $10 of free credit for its first 14 days. There is no monthly fee. - If the credit is fully used, the account is charged for the rest. - A monthly spending limit is optional, but recommended. Sign-up sets $25 as the default. Caster never charges more than the limit. If a limit is reached, the user's projects pause, but nothing is deleted. - Users are charged only for what their projects use. An app sleeps after 30 minutes with no visits, and a user can pause a project. Billing shows what each project costs this month and an estimate for the whole month. ## Connecting an agent - Agents connect with a user's Caster account. Caster's MCP server is https://mcp.caster.sh/mcp. More information: https://www.caster.sh/agents - Claude: add it as a custom connector at https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Caster&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fmcp.caster.sh%2Fmcp - ChatGPT: turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT's settings, then add the address as a plugin at https://chatgpt.com/plugins. - Other agents: add the address as a remote MCP server. - The MCP server allows an agent to do anything the user's role on their account allows. These actions are also available on caster.sh. - A few actions are only on caster.sh, like inviting people, changing roles, adding a staging copy and deleting the account. - Without an agent, Caster can set up a project with one button: the user connects GitHub on Add a project and presses "Put it online for me". Caster detects what the project needs and sets it up. ## Pages - [Caster](https://www.caster.sh/index.md): Caster (caster.sh) is hosting that just works.
